How does it work?

I tryed to make this site as easy as possibe, knowing that I cannot satisfie every one. It is easy to follow the generations, when you found the name of your ansestor in the familytree you will see that they all have a number before there name. When you dubbel the number you will find his or her father and mother go on dubbeling the numbers until there is no following number any more. If there is more information about the family you can find it on a page behind the name.

We started the search for our ansestors a couple off years ago. we means my brother Ron and sometimes also my sister Christa, that is why there is much more on this site about the Family Pistoor. For both other Familys, Bouwman and Strik, I am only searching about a half year now.

If I find some new information,I will update this site once a month, I think for the last two names it wouldend be difficult to find new information.

If new information is added it will show as * NEW and if information is updated it will show as * UPDATED

UPDATED august 2008

In the new update I have only added new information of the Pistoor family. I recieved a lot of reactions to the site and with them a lot of new data. I am very pleaced with that but it also means that I have made the choise to split the updates in three parts because it is a lot of work to procces the information and put it on the site. This way it will stay clear for me too. Iff you sent me data and it is not on the site yet pleace give me some time, there is a lot that I recieve and I do my best to put it on the site as fast as I can.

For the Bouwman Family I am very happy with all data which I received from Henk and Jeanet Nieborg-Boeijsma.
For information of relatives of the Pistoors in South Africa my thanks to David Leon Dala.

I also want to thank everyone that given me permission to use the data that they have already placed on the internet. There are to many to mentions everyone by name.

Ad this moment we have they advantage that we know that we get new information about the Family Pistoor, we are asked to be a gast in de television program "Verre Verwanten" , in this program they have found a famous person in Dutch Historie who happens to be one of our ansestors. They dont tell you who it is but invite you to be a gast in there program.
In this program you get to do tasks and if you do them right you get an indication of who that ancestor is. My brother Ron is the one who will be the gast in the program you can find foto's of him and his family on Ron's site.

We have been to Hilversum on 15-11-2005 for the recording of the television program "Verre Verwanten". It really was a good experience, everybody was very nice. They were all very interested in our family and it felt very good.

They also told us who the famous ancestor in our family is but asked if we would wait with giving infomation till after the broadcasting. I can tell you now that it is a person who is famous around the world.

The program will be on television 4 januari 2006, after that I will give more information.
